Extremely well maintained property - located about 5 min away from the main kullu-manali highway just before you reach manali. It is actually a cluster of 4, 2-storey homes with 6 rooms each & there's more acco in a smallish setup a few meters away too. The gardens in front of each home are really well kept and done up tastefully with small swings & place enough for your kids to run around in. the owner roshan is very helpful, connected and personally goes out of the way to make your stay super. This was the 3rd time i stayed there and knowing that i had a little toddler, he kept a ground floor room for me.
There's an attendant around always, both helpful and hospitable who will take care of every eccentric holiday request, from pakoras at odd hours to the constant flow of questions that we tourists ask. the gardens in front of the homes were superbly kept & especially for bird lovers like me, because of the proximity of fruit orchards there are great opportunities for sighting a stunning range of hill birds, up close. they also arrange walks to manali through trails if you request them too, which in themselves are unique, memorable and highly recommended (at no extra cost) complementary drop-off and pick-ups from the popular 'mall' area of manali
Service can be a trifle slow, but i guess its a holiday, right?

Very Good. We had a perfect stay.
Food,Personal attention by the staff. Amazing views. Decor and comfort of the room.
Could have had a tub. Its set about 2 kms away from where one can buy basic supplies. Though its not at all in a deserted area.

Holiday Cottage is a lovely place and is excellent with everything well maintainedl & above all a fabulous views. Above all, the service was most heart warming with an ever-responsive staff taking personal care of your needs. The food was very good. It is good to stay here as it is quiet and calm and away from the heart of the city.

Holiday Cottage proves to be one of the best hotel in a long time. The owner, Roshan is a fantastic gentleman and so are the rest of the people, who look after the cottage and its guests. I would strongly recommend you this hotel whenever you go to Manali.
Holiday Cottage is like home away from home. But quite honestly, it's not because at home, you have to do all the work yourself cook, clean, etc. Whereas at Holiday Cottage, you just relax. While a fantastic cook churns out mouth watering delicacies. The view from the balcony takes your breath away. Here it feels like you can actually touch the clouds. For people like myself, who come from Delhi, that's a memory worth remembering. It's located about 2 Kms from the Mall road. So while you're in Manali, you're actually a little away from it.
Everything thing was up to the mark, full value for money

I stayed in this hotel with my wife for our honeymoon and we have a lot of memories of not only Manali but also of this beautiful cottage. It's a small hotel with not too much crowd, but beautifully designed large cottages. It's about 3-4 km far from the city situated on a beautiful hill. We didn't had any problem due to the distance and height, because we were provided a free cab service to the city on our special request, as it's hard to find a vehicle from there to the city. We had our breakfast, snacks and dinner at this cottage only. The food (we took only vegetarian food) was very cheap, good, tasty and the quality was also superior, as it's prepared from fresh vegetables. It's a small hotel, so you won't get anything anytime. You have to pre-order it, so that they can bring the stuff from the market. I had no problem with it, as long as I am getting delicious food at a very economical charge. The hotel has a beautiful garden, were we used to enjoy the jhulla and hot tea with pakode, in a beautiful weather, snow covered nearby hills. The management and the staff were highly cooperative and skilled, and made every guest feel at home. The hospitality was truly at its best. The cottage was clean, with large bathrooms with no bathtub, but beautiful green granite and high quality bathroom fittings and completely clean/hygienic. You can also ask for the fireplace to be ignited, if you want. There were sufficient blankets there in the wardrobe, and all facilities were available, including water heater, room heater, TV, etc. Though there was no intercom, as its a small hotel, so you have to call the service staff, but that wasn't any issue to us. My wife wants to visit this cottage again in future. I would highly recommend this hotel for any couple. |

| Away from the din
Review by Rajesh Mishra [View Profile] | Jan 29, 2009
Manali over the past couple of decades has gone from a once quiet little alpine destination to a buzzing hill town. If you are the type looking for peace and quiet, away from the Mall Rd. din (mercifully it is now a no vehicle zone), this ought to be your choice. A good 4-5 km away in village Simsa, it overlooks lovely alpine views. But be ready to walk. And explore the villages around. For apart from orchards there isn't much around. But this is exactly what I was looking for. The other point to note is that these cottages comprise upwards of 3 rooms and are thus ideal for families traveling together as opposed to a lone traveler. Facilities, location, management and service were really good, and I look forward to more visits in future. ,... |

My wife and I along with our 2.5 year old daughter visited Manali during second week of Aug 2009 and stayed in Holiday Cottage for 4 nights. The hotel and all the services were as per our expectations. The owner of this hotel, Roshan was very helpful. They have a kitchen where you can cook some food for small kids which we wanted. Location was ideal for us as we wanted something calm and away from the city noise. The view from balcony was breathtaking. We just loved this place. |

It was the best experience I ever had of my stay in any hotel. Superb service, well maintained room with beautiful mountain view from the room. Food was excellent and very reasonable. We ordered every day different things from menu and everything was great. I went there in the last week of August 2009. I booked standard room but Mr. Roshan gave us Super Deluxe room. Hotel also provided free round the clock pick-up and drop facility whenever we needed. Hotel is approximately 3 km away from Manali Mall Road and that's the best part of it. You are away from a noisy Mall Road, sitting in the balcony of your room, taking sips of hot coffee and seeing the mountains. Hotel staff was very polite and courteous. I am not good with words and can not explain exactly what I felt there... In a nutshell, everything was great and I'll never forget my stay in this hotel. |

Holiday Cottage at Manali was a great experience for our vacation last weekend. Holiday Cottages proved to be a wonderful place to stay, spectacular views, great food and remarkable value for money. We had Valley facing room. View from the room and balcony was great and overlooks the snow-peak mountain. The most interesting part was the hospitality of the staff and the owner. The food was prepared in the kitchen of the cottage as per your requirement and served really hot and very tasty. Its highly recommended. |

I booked Holiday Cottage hotel in Manali for 18th to 20th July, 2009. It is an excellent hotel and I was very satified with the service provided by MakeMyTrip as well as the hotel. The hotel provides excellent location, ambience and a homely atmosphere. The cottages were well made and well maintained. The staff and the hotel owner go out of the way to ensure that guests are comfortable. The food is homely and made according to guest requirements with no set menu which ensures a very comfortable stay. The hotel is just around 4 km from the bus sta |
